Two-Way Tuesday Challenge!

At the encouragement of some of my new blogger friends here in Dallas, I've been challenged every Tuesday to feature an outfit done two ways. Others who will be participating in this link up challenge are my friends Sevi, Addie, Elysa, and Valery (She's the one who started this whole idea)!
You should check out their blogs, they're all great!!

I know this post is a tad late for a Tuesday, but I was busy working on a school assignment.

That's right, school's back in session for me! I'm working on my MFA in Illustration at the Academy of Art University of San Francisco. It's all online, and I'm starting my third year there. I've had classes on Head Drawing, Figure Drawing, Illustration concepts and techniques, and now I'm taking an Editorial Illustration class and a Perspective class.

Here's a preview of my first assignment for the week:

This took so long.. this class is going to be a doozy.
Anyways, back to the outfit post! I chose to style my gorgeous black full skirt, from Eshakti.

Eshakti is a great online source for really unique dresses and skirts, and can be customized to your unique size or you can choose standard sizing. They range from a size 0-36W! It's a great place for plus size ladies like me, though it can be a little pricey.
I suggest watching out for their sales and their Buy 2 Get 1 Free deals!

The first styling is one I came up with a little while back. The full skirt goes great with a button-up top for a Pin-Up inspired look. A colorful tank or cami with a statement necklace and shoes pull it all together.

Shoes - Modcloth.com
Accessories - Charming Charlie's

Fun and flirty with a tied blouse for a Pin-Up inspired look!

The second look is a little more laid back, perfect for an outing with the girls. You'll recognize this from my post about the Blogger Fashion Shoot!

Plum Purple looks great with Black, and White wedges give it a nice bit of contrast. It's all knit fabric, so it's super comfortable, but definitely better suited for early fall!!

I'm always aware of how much I spend on each piece of clothing, and Ross and Payless are great sources for affordable fashion! The earrings featured here were made by a friend for me based on one of my very first fashion illustrations.

Skirt - Eshakti.com
Shoes- Payless
Earrings - Custom Made

Casual and cute, the perfect pairing!

Tune in next week for my next Two-Way Tuesday post!!

    1. Eshakti's awesome!! Definitely watch your budget on it, though, it's not cheap. (Thought the quality MORE than makes up for that!!)
